The Best Bathtub Crayons Available March 20, 2001 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
These are, without a doubt, the BEST bathtub crayons available (and we've tried all brands!) The pigment is vibrant, and they even color under water. It doesn't matter if they get wet...they still work (unlike other bathtub crayons). These 'click' up to expose fresh crayon, and do NOT dissolve in water. Clean up is easy with the provided duck sponge (and when my husband is in charge of bathtime, and forgets to clean the tub, I can testify that they do, indeed, wash off without staining the tub!) I can't recommend these crayons enough to other parents...our toddler loves them and has become quite the bathtime artist. A great gift for friends too!
Better than Crayola September 28, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Someone gave these to us when my son was 9 months old. He loved holding them and it has been fun watching him learn to "color" and develop his hand-eye coordination. He is now 22 months old and we've just used them up and I had to buy the Crayola tub crayons because I couldn't find these at Toys R Us. The Crayola crayons are thinner (which doesn't hold up as well to toddler abuse) and have more colors, but I like these better because they come with the ducky sponge to wash the crayon off the walls (my son loves that part, too). These crayons are a surefire way to get my son into the bathtub.
Spent a lot of $$$ on bathtub toys, this is the most enduring! November 27, 2008 I read the poor reviews on here. Certainly you can't fault that this is a good product just because you "wanted more crayons". Another said it dissolved right in her child's mouth, my child put her mouth on it just a second and she barely got a crayon mark on her lip, no residue in her mouth, but to be safe, yes, don't buy these until your child is past the age of chewing on their toys.
I must say they have been the best bang for our buck when it comes to bathtub toys. We've spent probably $60 total in bathtub toys and this has been the most loved and used AND one of the cheapest to boot! We love them. We've not had a problem with crayons sliding out of their holders until they are just a stubble of a crayon left, then, yes they do fall out. The crayons are chunky so they don't just snap off when little ones use them, the scrubber duck, soft yellow on one side and harder smooth white on the other for deep scrubbing works well but the 2 different materials used to make him DO start to come apart after time---but it's just about the time the crayons are done anyhow so we bought another set.
We thought these were so great we bought the bathtub markers to. THOSE were a disappointed, see my review there.
Nice crayons January 14, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My 20 month old son loves these crayons -- they color well, clean up easily and don't dissolve. However, the crayons keep falling out of the plastic holders. This bothers me more than it does my son.
Grandma's bath time fun October 27, 2008 I picked this up when I knew I'd be baby sitting my grandkids aged 2 and 8 for a long evening. We emptied and refilled the tub twice! The crayons marked on the tub and the kids easily and cleaned up easily with the duck sponge. Both ages loved this toy. I agree with other reviewers, more crayon, less holder would be better. The water in the tub looked like the brush-washer cup looks when you use water colors. No worries, we rinsed the kids off with the shower wand and all was well. I'm buying more.
