Measuring 4.2 x 2.4 inches, the Curve is just as slim as the Pearl (0.6 inches) and weighs in at 3.9 ounces--just 0.7 ounces heavier than its predecessor. It features a bright 2.5-inch color TFT screen that provides 65,000 colors and a 320 x 240-pixel resolution, and it includes a light-sensing feature that automatically adjusts backlighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments. Like the BlackBerry 8800, the Curve includes a trackball navigation system located on the top of the QWERTY keypad, and it also features an integrated spell checker with a customizable dictionary to help maintain accuracy while on the go. It has 64 MB of internal ROM memory, and is expandable using MicroSD memory cards. The battery provides up to 4 hours (240 minutes) of talk time and up to 17 days (408 hours) of standby time. You can snap vivid photos (though no video) using the 2-megapixel camera on the back of the Curve, which also features a 5x digital zoom, built-in flash, self-portrait mirror and full screen viewfinder. It can capture images in up to three picture quality and size resolutions that can be shared instantly by email, MMS or BlackBerry Messenger, or even uploaded to your Flickr account with the Yahoo! Go service. Photos can also be immediately set as a unique caller ID or Home Screen image. You can edit photos and create albums within the Curve using the PhotoSuite application. Pictures can be cropped, rotated and straightened, and flaws can be fixed by removing redeye or changing the brightness, contrast, and saturation levels. I had the BlackBerry 8700g for a year and really liked it, but just decided to upgrade to the Curve. I've only had the Curve for a few days and I already absolutely love it. Smaller, lightweight, with a more efficient means of typing a message by being able to use the trackball for editing. I love that the Curve has a camera where the 8700g does not. And it has a flash--double bonus points. It's very easy to use and with the 8700g I beceme very spoiled with being able to get my email wherever I go. Now in addition to that, I have WiFi, so the Curve will hook up to the closest WiFi connection and I have even faster internet capabilities with it. I also love that I can go anywhere and use my BlackBerry as a modem for my laptop. The BlackBerry tech support department at T-Mobile helped me set the 8700g and then the Curve as modems when I purchased them. Using this function I don't have to pay the absurd prices to connect to a HotSpot of any kind. (I just keep my cable in my backpack that I carry my laptop in.) There are lots of features I haven't had the opportunity to explore and am not sure how to use, like the music capabilities. I suppose it would help if I read my manual. :o)

Over all, this phone is amazing. I was afraid when I saw how small the buttons were that I would have trouble by accidentally hitting multiple ones at the same time, or the wrong ones, but I haven't had that problem at all. Actually, they seem to be just the right size.
Another worry I had was using the internet on my phone. I'll be the first to admit I don't know much about mobile internet, but the Curve opened up a whole new world for me. If you're looking for something that gives you access to the basics of internet without forcing you to use only mobile websites, this phone is perfect. Pages load very quickly and it is very functional.
Also, the e-mail function is so quick and easy to use! I didn't need anything more than my usernames and passwords for my e-mail accounts to have access to mail as soon as it reached my inbox.
I'm basically a casual user of the blackberry. I didn't NEED a phone that could do everything, but I really wanted one. And this phone is perfect. The sound when using the phone to call people is crystal on both ends. The trackball took some getting used to, but it's very useful.
I really can't find something I don't like about this phone, though I do wish they had put more themes on the phone. But then again, it wasn't overloaded with a bunch of things I didn't need.
I love my phone. :)

I have owned this phone since it came out. I have owned a lot of PDA phones like Eten, HTC, (Windows Mobile) and two Treos (650 and 680). This is by far the best smartphone I have ever owned. The voice quality is outstanding, the reception on T-Mobile wonderful and I can use it traveling to other countries. I love the keyboard, it is easy to type emails and text messages! It also takes great photos with the 2mp camera. And it fits into your shirt pocket. The screen is just gorgeous to look at! Very sharp! This is my first BlackBerry and I am sold on the phone and the company!

This phone was the answer to almost all of my needs! Being in the Real Estate Industry, I rely on always being available.....and when I cannot be available I must still be in contact with the working world. This phone lets me keep up on employees and others I work with while I am out. Responding to clients needs is very simple and they appreciate me being able to get a hold of them and to respond to requests in minutes! Taking a few hours off to golf and not feeling guilty! I am literally still in the office with full access to all of my documents, contacts, tasks, calendars and more!
The camera on this is great. Not close to a Nikon and definitely would not use for property photos for advertising, but driving by a smoking deal and being able to send the mls info and some "decent" quality pictures to a client to get the "OK" is priceless.
For those whom have primarily EMAIL needs, do not even try others. Blackberry has nailed it as they always have. I have been through countless Blackjacks, Dash's, Wizards, Pocket Pc's, Treo's and others and no one can compare to Blackberry's instant email push. Don't hesitate; the only decision is what blackberry you want.

This is my first PDA phone and I am in complete aww about. This phone is fast. easy to understand and on top of that it looks great!!!
The internet connection is great the speaker when trying to listen to music is awesome and the camara's flash is spectacular.
The only thing that I found wrong was that the camera takes a while to save the pictures but it does take good pictures w the 2. megapixal
all in all i am very happy w/ this phone and I have no regrets I would strongly recommend this phone
