Product Description The world's lightest, thinnest and only water-resistant and heat-resistant USB flash drive is now 50% FASTER with Vista Boost Certified!. The Super Stick is convenient enough for consumers to carry anywhere, and its trendy design makes it a great mobile phone strap accessory, necklace or keychain. It can even be stored in a wallet. The Super Stick is so small that it measures and weights about the size of a paper clip. It works with USB 2.0, allowing for the high-speed transfer of documents and data in your day-to-day work. The Super Stick is made to last using a patented packaging technology that is stronger than plastic or aluminum casing. In fact there is no casing; it is built directly into the sealed substrate making it resistant to water, heat and shock, virtually indestructible. Plus no snap-on cap is needed. Hate those bulky flash drives that end up losing or forgetting. Finally an USB flash drive that you can hold onto with no hassle. Revolutionary size and an amazing price make the Super Stick the ultimate buy for a USB flash drive.

If you like tiny - this is for you June 18, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
I carry a USB drive with me every day - attached to what has (unfortunately) become an ID rolodex.
My old USB drives, even though small, were visible and bulky. Not this one. It is so small, it fits behind the ID cards or in my wallet, completely out of sight. So far I have not met a PC or MAC that does not read the USB card, and it seems as fast as my SanDisk Cruzer Micro - USB flash drive - 4 GB - Hi-Speed USB - black
If you like small, this one's for you. It's a nice gift too!

Bought the 8GB and the 2GB at the same time. The 8GB goes to my son who'll be a college freshman in 4 weeks and the 2GB is mine. These are really well designed and perfect for him. He has "misplaced" a couple of flash drives already. This he can keep in his wallet (he hasn't misplaced one of those, yet!). As a computer science major he can use the 8GB capacity for backups and file transports. I use the 2GB for "sneakernet" file transfers in my office. Also, they both work as Vista readyboost drives on our laptops.

It was time to replace my 2 Gig thumb drive, and durability was a factor. This little device seemed promising (although as a friend pointed out, it's more of a thumbnail drive than a thumb drive), and it was priced very competitively. I'm glad I bought it.
I laughed when I read words like "stylish" and "sleek" in the marketing description (it's a tool!), but those words are surprisingly relevant. When I use it, it often becomes a topic of conversation, and I enjoy showing it to other geeks (who usually want to know where they can get one).
I've had no issues with the device's reliability or durability, but I haven't stress tested it.
Another reviewer mentioned a couple "negative" points that are worth considering: 1. It does go in horizontal USB slots upside-down from the way I initially guessed--the printing goes face-down. Since it doesn't have the usual USB housing, you can easily insert it incorrectly. Doing so causes no damage though--it's just a minor initial usability issue.
2. Its size and weight make it easy to forget or drop without noticing, so it's probably a good idea to attach it to something else you carry with you.
Those characteristics aren't necessarily problems, but it helps to be aware of them.
Great product - surreal packaging - terrible lanyard September 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Kingmax 8GB super stick is better than its predecessors, in that it has a hardened form factor. I can't vouch whether it is washer-dryer safe, but the casing does seem sturdier than other models. According to Vista, its memory write speed is 6-7 mbps - the packaging says only 3mbps write, so I'm happy that they understated the speed (or Vista's metrics are inaccurate - unthinkable!). However, the pink external case shaped like a rorsach test pig is just plain ... surreal. It's not integral to the device, and can be discarded (it's predecessors did not have an external case). I think that the marketing committee at Kingmax may have had one too many during happy hour at the local pub. Buy this product - you'll love it - and then lose it. The plastic spring-shaped lanyard easily breaks (thus I lost the drive a day after I wrote the first part of the review). Remove the springy lanyard, and use the the nylon part, and you'll be OK. When you edit a review, you can't change the star rating, otherwise I'd mod this down to a 1.
