They yeld for this ribbon is 200 pages for 20 dlls, with this, the cost for each page is only 10 cents. And yes, it is awkward toload. and my fax machine does have an answering machine.
Sharp UX-3CR Ribbon for UX305 July 11, 2000 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I like the fax machine. I knew it wasn't going to be like the one on my job but it will do my job since it is just for personal use. Putting in the ribbon was difficult.,but I got the hang of it. I like it. I recommend this for any one.
UX-3CR is for Sharp model numbers: June 25, 2003 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought these rolls of imaging film in June 2003. According to the package, they are for the following Sharp model numbers: UX-300, UX-305, UX-340L, UX-340LM, UX-345L, UX-355L, UX-355LR, UX-460, and UX-465L. Also, just in case it's not clear to you, there are two rolls, 98 feet each, in the package. I agree with other customers here -- this is a pricey way to print faxes. I try to receive and print most on my PC, but my UX-355L is great for sending.
Good product, deceptive pricing December 9, 2000 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
The Sharp Facsimile UX-355L I purchased for an astonishing ($) after rebates at .... Its features, including percentage copying, one-button dialing, "smart ring" recognition, plain paper, were impressive and it faxed perfectly, while automatically configuring itself to dial the least expensive long-distance service. For what it can do, I'd give this machine five stars. BUT, when I figured out the cost per page to receive faxes (MSRP roughly 20-25 cents per page), I almost brought it back to the store. Then I considered two facts: 1. I fax much more material than I receive (which doesn't involve the ribbon); and 2. I can receive faxes on my computer and print them out on my laserjet printer instead. So, for me it's a good deal. Regarding the price-gouging, write Sharp to complain! And tell them you intend to purchase generic ribbons. But hunt for bargains, like AMAZON.COM, which currently has the UX-3CR RIBBON for ($), dropping the receiving-page cost to 15 cents, still steep if you receive a lot of facsimiles via the machine. Unfortunately, nearly all the newer machines I looked at engage this gouging practice. Due to Sharp's deceptive techniques, I should give it 0 stars; but capitalist competition often encourages the worst decision-making. That's a good enough reason to be understanding, but hardly an excuse though. Best bet: If you have an older machine (sturdily made with strong metal components) that uses a generic black inkjet cartridge, keep it in shape and it costs next to nothing to receive pages.
Sharp fax machine UX-340L November 15, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just thought I would let others know that the Ribbon UX-3CR is also compatible for the the Sharp UX-340L. I went through alot of hassle with the Sharp company to find that out so I thought I would save someone else the trouble. Good luck with your fax, I hope this helps someone.
