Pros: Great sound quality, easy to use, comfortable size, and sturdy. Before I got the Mozaic, I read critizisms that it was not metal, but I have to say, I think that is horse feathers. I guess metal does feel cool (temp. wise), but it is so heavy, that drops and slips literally dent/damage it. I love that the Mozaic is plastic, because if it slips out of my hand, or my cord gets caught, the little light weight guy just hangs out, stress free. Not even a yank on my ear! Also, I think the buttons are very easy to use, definatley not to small. I really like clicking better than my last mp3 player's finger sliding thing. I can slip it in my pocket w/o locking it, and quickly pull it out to adjust volume. I haven't used the speaker much, but when I do I am impressed with the quality. I use the recording function often, and it works well, if within 20 feet of the speaker. Works perfect with Audible. The radio quality is darn good. Finally, I LOVE the shimmery pink.
Cons: The screen, is of course a bonus for a small mp3, and it is not meant to compete with the xfi, zune, or itouch. Don't expect it to. It's like good cell phone screen quality (iphone excluded). Oh, and the included head phones aren't worth beans.
Other Thoughts: I use the Outlook/organizer sync-ing program - very handy. Also, I recomend you check out ZenCasts - I like to download french radio.

This does exactly what I need it to do. It plays music, displays pictures, and records my lectures, cannot get any better than that . Yes you could put a movie on there but why would you with that small of a screen? Also the software for your pc is sticky and a pain in the arse but I just use WMP so no problems

The product comes in two days! The appearance actually looks better than the pictures online. (It's light and cute!) (At least it looks better than I expected). I'm satisfied with the quality of the sound. It's awesome. I like the overall design although the upload software isn't quite user friendly. I think with the price I paid, it's really worth it with adequate expectation. (of course, comparing the price you paid for the ipod to judge this won't be fair.)

this item is awesome and the functionality as well as the look of the item is a great win. Not to mention that the price is fab! The previous people before me just want something to complain about, but I find that the software is great and very helpful on my vista. I highly recommend this item to anyone that doesn't want too much of gb space where you can fill up the space and waste money. This is just right for me and the amount of music that I listen to and the videos that I watch.

I've had the Zen Mozaic 4 GB for about a week now, and I love it! Here is just a short list of the pros and cons I have noticed.
Pros:
Price - It's very cost-effective for the tons of features included!
FM Radio - The radio signal strength is unimpressive, but a plus nonetheless, since many don't offer this feature. Note: the radio antenna is built into the headphones, so with just the built-in speaker, there is no radio reception at all. Headphones must be plugged in.
Alarm clock - I love being able to set the song that I wake up to, and with the built-in speaker it works much like a cell-phone alarm clock.
Built-in speaker - Now you can share a song with a friend without sharing your headphones. The speaker sounds better than I thought it would considering how small the device is. I wouldn't listen to it for hours, but it's a nice additional feature.
Battery Life - When they say 30+ hours, they're not joking. Very impressive battery life.
Cons:
Plastic - The whole thing is made of plastic and feels somewhat toylike. Although I hesitate to call this a "con" because it feels very sturdy and well-made. If you want a metallic feel, you'll have to fork out the extra money for a Zune or iPod (twice the price).
Headphones - The headphones are pretty cheap. The music sounds tinny when you use them, but if you use nicer headphones, sound quality is good! Once again, the radio antenna is in the headphones if you want to use this feature.
My overall impression is that I am very satisfied with the product. I don't use it much for videos, but the included software will convert videos to .avi format for viewing, which is nice but the screen is a bit small for using it as a video player very often. I use Media Monkey for syncing, but you can use Windows Media Player or simply Drag and Drop.
Audio quality is great with better headphones and the interface is simple to use. The design, I think, is very sleek and unique, but obviously not for everyone. If you're looking for a nice little player to give as a gift or just to stash in your pocket, this is a great choice!
