I've had several MP3 players and this is my favorite out of all of them. I will typically get 6-7 hrs. of listening time with my Lyra, and I've experience no skips or anything else.
For the people experiencing file corruption problems with their Lyras, you need to keep in mind that you should not store more than 100 entries to a playlist folder. Also I repair these units, and typically the file corruption error is caused due to poorly written html, sometimes virus activity.
I think it's an excellent choice if you're looking to get your first MP3 player.

I had trouble with the initial unit, sent it back, replaced quickly and the replacement works great......thanks for all the help, highly recommend this seller......

this rca lyra isn't all that bad.who does need a ipod?i think ipods are just over priced.this lyra transfers songs from wma real fast.and this is a good price for a 4 gigabite.i just bought this a while ago and still works fine.it come's with a carrying case and earphones,and also a cd that contains lyra jutebox and lyra dj.this is a good mp3 player.anouther thing is it isnt that big.the width is a little bigger than a nuber 2 (pencle).but i would denfinatly buy this.well worth your money.and the two people that wrote this is a piece of junk.they must not know how to use a computer or work the mp3 player.
