The MediaGate MG-45 is a high performance media player. The MG-45 uses a 3.5" SATA hard drive (not included) to store and share multimedia files. In addition to USB2.0 connectivity, this model also has a 10/100 Ethernet port, allowing you to not play files from the hard drive inside, but you can also play media files located on the networked PCs. The MediaGate MG-45 supports DivX, MP4 and WMA playback. All audio and visual cables for connection to your TV are included, as is a remote control and instruction manual.The MG-45 is compatible with all SATA hard drives up to 500GB. The unit also has a USB2.0 slave port which enables you to play content stored on USB drives. MediaGate MG-45 can be better ... November 17, 2008
It works but you may get jitters streaming over ethernet 10/100 Mbps, and I know that my NAS should be able to keep up. I think that it needs to include more buffering in the unit. And, I hope that it comes with HDMI output.
