Not enough power September 21, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The charger that comes with the kit works just fine,5*; it may sound silly, but being white is a nice advantage...easy to distinguish from the phone chargers. The transmitter, however, is not so hot. Unless I found a frequency with absolutely nothing--no bleedover--, the iPod output was not as clear as it should be. I believe the transmitter simply isn't powerful enough (a trade-off for the size, which I really like). I tested this theory by borrowing a colleague's larger dock-style transmitter. MUCH better signal, and it tolerated quite a bit of interference. I would recommend the AirPlay if you're using your iPod in a relatively rural setting. If you're in a city, go for something "beefier."
