Expected It December 3, 2008 well my mom purchased this for me not even a year ago, i didn't want it because i knew that there was no way that a $50 speakers with a remote control was going to last but i wasn't the one paying for it so i said that's fine and when i plugged it in it worked great for costing $50 and with a remote, i was shocked i must say. but then the control would not work i had to push the buttons hard i seriously thought the control was going to break in half and then to turn the speakers off i would have to push the power button on the actual speakers ( which i didn't mind but) you have to push and hold it until it decides it wants to turn off. well recently it started sounding like a CD was scratched so i wanted to make sure it wasn't my ipod so i listened to the ipod on my headphones and then once again on the speakers(the same song) and it was the speakers so i stopped using them i didn't want to harm my ipod. So as i said i expected it to actually not work for long, i knew it was too good to be true
I am now looking for some new speakers and i am making sure i am reading the reviews not only the good but the bad ones too
LUV MY IPOD SPEAKER! July 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's portable, the sound is excellent, just unpacked it, plugged it in, placed my ipod and great music came thru the speakers. Its sleek and looks great in my office...
Sound not so good July 5, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought the sound would be loud. I could have this thing turned up to max and still be able to talk on the phone.
You get what you pay for and it's worth shelling out a few more bucks to get the stereo surrond sound I thought I was getting.
Died in less than three months April 23, 2008 I bought one of these locally. Sound quality was okay, but not wonderful. I mainly used it to charge my iPod Video, and for that it worked fine.
That is, until is died for no reason what-so-ever.
My opinion: it's junk. Look elsewhere.
Not what I wanted April 4, 2008 One of the reasons I wanted an iPod dock was to hook it up to my house sound system and still be able to control the songs with the remote. What I didn't find out until later was that this particular dock doesn't have an "audio out" plug. I just assumed that it would be a standard jack for all docks. Perhaps I should have done my research a little bit more, but I just went with whatever was the best seller figuring that would be fine.
