Great All-in-One Solution October 11, 2007 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
Bought this because of an A- review from ipodlounge.
What I like: * One product serves as protective case and secure armband * Unlike many ipod cases, the bottom is almost entirely enclosed and it would be nigh-impossible for the nano to fall out * The thin "orca" neoprene case appears to be water resistant -- an important consideration if you might end up in the rain while running, hiking or biking. I might tag the seams with tent seam-sealer just to be sure, especially around the front. * Multiple carry options - armband, handband, simple case with clip. * The case and nano do not come in contact with my sweaty arm while working out but are still held close to my arm so I don't accidentally bump it into something.
What I don't like: * I have to unwrap part of the bottom to access the ipod universal connector. This is an acceptable trade-off for the greater coverage and weather protection on the bottom. If you want to regularly dock your ipod, you may want a case that offers unfettered access to the bottom. * The clip is a bit difficult to disengage. You have to push in a recessed button using something like the tip of your headphone jack and start sliding the clip while continuing to push in this button. I tend to just keep my nano attached to my armband, but if you want to switch back and forth between belt clip, armband and handband, you may find it a little inconvenient.
All things considered, I was well-pleased with this case, especially since accessories for new ipods are not always well thought out. I love the protection, good looks and versatility.
Great product October 25, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This product was cheaper than the Apple armband, yet it provides more options. I prefer the belt clip, but it also has an armband. I clip it to my belt when lifting weights and my shorts waistband when running, and stays secure. I have no fears of it falling out of the case. Because of the plastic covering over the buttons, it is hard to adjust the volume, but I actually blame Apple for having such an odd volume adjustment.
best iPod case I've ever owned November 13, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I got a Marware case for my MacBook Pro, and I loved it so I thought I'd try one of their iPod cases for my brand new nano. I'm really impressed. It comes with clear protective stickers for the screen and click wheel, but I found that with the sticker plus the clear plastic covering the wheel, it was hard to turn the wheel without clicking the buttons because I had to press so hard to get a response. Without the sticker, the wheel is just fine. The sticker on the screen doesn't put a glare on the screen, and neither does the plastic of the case. (the screen protector for my PSP is not so nice... it gave it a nasty glare) The case fits perfect, not too snug and not too loose, and that cool squishy material is really cool. It's thin, but thick enough to protect your ipod if you do happen to drop it, the material absorbs a lot of shock for it's thickness. There are holes at the bottom for the hold switch and headphones, and the dock connector is covered by a little flap that tucks in quite nicely to keep gunk out of the port. It's a little tiny bit of a struggle to open the flap enough to plug in the connector, but it only takes a little stretching. It's also a little bit difficult to get your iPod out-the screen tends to stick to the plastic of the case, but it's not something to worry about, I know I don't intend to take my iPod out of the case anytime soon. The accessories are cool, I use the belt clip, but the hand strap and arm strap would be awesome for working out. I tried them both, they feel very secure, and the clip that holds it in place feels strong.
Overall really the best iPod case I've ever used. I would recommend it to anyone!
Great product with a resonable price. November 22, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great product if you just want to spend reasonable amount of money for working out or just use blet clip or other things.
Marware 3G Nano Review January 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is an amazing case. It protects the nano very well and the flexibility of having an arm strap, a hand strap, and a belt clip, all while leaving iPod in the same neoprene case, is perfect. Other reviewers have mentioned two problems with the case that I have found to be non-issues. First, they don't like the release latch on the case. Granted, you need a small pointy object to release the case from each strap, but you have the perfect tool with you....the headphone plug on your earbuds. Second, they don't like the docking access on the case. I have found that if you follow the directions included with the case and fold the bottom flap into the case, rather than just push it to the side, syncing is no problem....although it won't fit in a dock. Hope this helps, great case.
