Great Case for the Perils of Traviling with Me January 7, 2008 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
For the first iPod I have ever owned, I wanted some good protection due to superficial damage done to my previous mp3 player (Creative Zen Jukebox Xtra).
It may not be the trendiest-looking case on the market (my coworker says it looks like a tire). However, it is quite functional and I actually think it's kinda cute keeping the Nano all nice and snug. Plus, on something as small as the 3g Nano, it's not bulky.
The case is made of a structured/stretchy type of rubber. It also comes with a screen protector, which is the other main reason I got this case.
It was a little tight at first trying to get the Nano in there, but if you slip it in through the screen opening (the screen protector is a separate piece that you slip on after putting in the iPod itself) it's pretty easy and I say the tight fit is a plus.
The only drawback I know of that I read somewhere was that there's trouble docking the unit on some of the accessories with the case on, so I'd read up on that if that is an issue for you. This has not been a problem for me as I have just been using this unit in the car with a plug that connects to the headphones jack.
In conclusion, the case is just what I wanted to protect my new Nano and I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Exactly as it looks December 2, 2007 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
This product is very tight fitting and offers the protection needed against shock. I am very pleased with the case.
Actually does what it's supposed to . . . February 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Awesome product by Speck. The most annoying thing about the case is actually getting the plastic insert that comes in it out, and then slipping your iPod in. However, once it is in, the iPod fits entirely snugly, and the ports are just as accessable as they would be without it.
Only a couple of negatives I can find. The click wheel is slightly tougher to use with the thick rubber around its edges, but it's really not that bad. Also, the screen protector creates sort of a "rainbow effect" around the edges of the screen, but that's extremely slight, and actually having your screen protected FAR outweighs this small drawback.
Other than that, I feel much better having my little iPod in such a tough case rather than leaving it extremely vulnerable.
Nice product June 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was looking for something that was slim but had the option to clip onto myself or slip into my pocket. This works. After reading reviews, I thought I had to slide my iPod into the case, but ends up the two plates separate and you can pop the back on/off to interchange it with the belt clip. Very nice. The screen protector works well, I can still manipulate menus with ease and the case doesn't interfere with headphones, charger etc.
Excellent product! June 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It fits the Nano 3G perfectly, and keeps the Nano away from dust and fingerprints. It costs more money, but I would definitely recommend this product.
