Great Value! July 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This little speaker sounds much bigger than it is. The only thing missing is a remote, but it's a minor gripe. Overall, a great value.
Amazing sound for the price October 2, 2008 Amazingly clear room-filling sound with surprisingly strong bass for a fairly small and lightweight unit which runs on only 3 AA batteries for up to 48 hours (an AC adaptor is also included). Yeah, I know it lacks a remote plus other fancy features - all it has are an on/off button and a volume slide - but, on balance, the quality of the sound and the low price more than make up for the lack of any fancy features. Well worth a look for the budget conscious iPod owner looking for an inexpensive but great sounding set of portable speakers that can also be used as a dock to charge the iPod. Just don't expect any bells and whistles.
Great Speaker Option (Works With iPod Nano 4th gen) November 29, 2008 It has been noted that the 4th generation iPod Nano has some backward compatibility issues with other devices. For example, the 4th gen nano won't charge on a lot of older docking stations. I can confirm that these Altec Lansing speakers will charge your iPod Nano 4th generation. See uploaded photo. I was actually assuming it wouldn't because the description only says compatible with "iPod nano 3rd gen".
These speaker sound good for their size. The "aux" in jack is on the back if you want to use these speakers for other types of mp3 player.
Nice Portable Speaker October 4, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this speaker because I was looking for a loud, portable unit that did not use a lot of batteries, Well This fits the bill, It is loud, decent sound quality, (it has some of the biggest drivers for a portable dock, so I thought the bass response would be deeper, no so..But sufficent for portable use, I takes only 3 aa batteries!.. and plays for long time, and you can get it for a good price online..also to get the best volume, turn off the sound limiter on your ipod..can play loud enough with limited distortion, but not all the way up...oh, 1 more thing, it will charge your 2nd generation ipod touch (alot of older docks will not)
Leasure listening October 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great IPOD speaker system for the kitchen. It sounds great and it is not big and bulky. I'm not saying it is a BOSE system but for the money it's good. I would recomend the one with the radio though if you don't have a home stereo system though.
