I love the Cucumber September 12, 2008 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
First I have to say this. For those of you who didn't purchase the item why would you post a review?? Why not just post your concerns under a review closer to your own personal "feelings" about this product. Why insult the people who did purchase this and enjoyed it. That's just rude. Anyway, I never saw the infomercial that has been mentioned; I purchased mines through QVC. I love it. I've been using mine for over two years now. I didn't know that it was available through Amazon, until I came across it by accident. I love how this makes my hair look and feel. I had to get use to this very different method of "cleansing" my hair, but it was worth it. My scalp tends to become dry, and itchy especially during the winters here in Michigan. The Wen Cucumber works great to keep the itching and dryness away. My hair is very thick and very long. I had to experiment to find the number of pumps needed to get the results I wanted. I have recommended this product to numerous people and now I'll let them know that Amazon carries it. If you need cleansing tips then go to this site www.wenhaircare.com. Look under Chaz's Tips.
Worth the Dough! August 12, 2008 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
I ordered this after watching the infamous infomercial...I'm sure you've all seen it! Anyway, I am an African-American woman who has done absolutely EVERYTHING to my hair and now have (thick, thick)relaxed hair. I only mention my race here because I think it is important to stress what the creator of this product was saying about his line--it works for anyone! I have only used this product for two weeks and I have to say that never before has my hair looked and felt so touchable--I literally used to cringe (and divert the perpetrator) if it seemed as if someone wanted to put a hand on my hair! I also used to be in a state of perpetual unrest--concerning my mop. It just seemed like no matter what products I used, I was always looking for something to do BETTER. The search is definitely over; I am truly satisfied. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs more good hair days!
Never would have expected... August 23, 2008 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is only the second product I have ever purchased after watching an infomercial - so I thought it may be a waste but I will try anyway... I did not want to buy it off of the their commercial because I did not want my card charged and the automatic shipping - so I bought it off amazon. I got it 10 days ago and just love it! Weird but I have actually had 3 compliments on how nice my hair looks this week and the only change is the shampoo.
The only con I've found is the instructions on the bottle are "off" for me though my hair is just past my neck and the bottle says @14 pumps and that was way too many after the first time it looked greasy - so I do 3-4 pumps comb it through and leave it sit while I finish my shower then rinse. My hair looks and feels so soft :) I would recommend this to anyone.
This Actually Did Work! October 2, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've Always Been Really Protective Of My Hair, I Don't Blow It Dry Or Color It Or Put All Kinds Of Gunk In It. I Usually Keep It Long & All One Length, It's Quite Fine. It's Always Been Very Nice And Soft Until Recently. I Made The Decision To Get It Cut & Put Some Long Layers In It That Surround My Face, About Two Weeks After Doing That All Of A Sudden My Head Was Very Oily & It Would Look Like I Hadn't Washed My Hair In A Week, Now I Have Always Used Pantene & Loved It, But It Just Wasn't Working. My Hair Wasn't Soft Anymore Either. I Was Starting To Really Freak Out - I Saw This On The Paid Program Ad And Wanted To Try It. I Was Dumb & Ordered It From Their Web Site Before Checking Here, Which I Usually Don't Do(Got A Little Over Excited I Guess)It Took Me Forever To Get It(It Was A Month) & I Called Them & Told Them That I Wanted To Cancell The Automatic Shipments That They Sign You Up For Before They Sent Them Out, So We'll See How That Goes. I Was Skeptical, But I've Been Using It For A Week Now & It's A Miracle! My Hair Is Soft Again & I Can Wear It Down & It Doesn't Look Oily. I Was Afraid It Would Be To Heavy For My Fine Hair, But It Doesn't Seem To Be. I Curled My Hair Yesterday & It Looked Very Nice It Still Held The Curl All Day Without Any Styling Products Or Hair Spray So I'm Very Impressed! It Really Does Work-I think The Main Thing You Have To Be Careful Of Is Making Sure It's Rinsed Out Really Well. I Only Use 8 Pumps(Not The Oh My God Amount They Say)& I Rinse & Rinse & Rinse Till My Hair Squeaks. The Only Downfall Is The Price. I Still Have To Figure Out How I'm Going To Keep Paying For It Because Like Most Of Us I'm Not An Heiress. But I Have To Say It Is Great Stuff. I Would Recommend It To Anyone, It Saved Me From A Nevous Breakdown.
WONDERFUL PRODUCT August 20, 2008 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I ordered this product after watching the infomercial late one night. (Insomnia sometimes has it's benefits) As someone who used to do hair for a living, I have tried nearly everything on the market. My shower rack was always overflowing with numerous shampoos and conditioners, but no more. This delicious smelling, one-step cleanser/conditioner is the only product I use now. I have somewhat fine hair that's a bit dry from color treatments and I needed a product that would restore a healthy shine and manageability without over-conditioning. WEN cleansing conditioner does the job all in one step. I apply about two to three pumps to wet hair when I first get in the shower then rinse out as the last thing. You can add a tiny drop after as a leave-in conditioner. You'll be amazed at the results regardless of your hair type. One last tip, unless you have extremely thick long hair that's as dry as the Sahara desert, you do not need to use the recommended amount of 16-24 pumps. You'll figure out the right amount for your hair. Also, buy it here on Amazon and don't get caught up in the auto shipments required on the infomercial. Happy conditioning!
