Product Description Moving Men/ Moving Mate Furniture Sliders- The easiest Way to move Furniture! Move Living room furniture, bedroom furniture, entertainment units, loaded bookcases, heavy applinces and more You get 4 Giant Sliders (7 inch Diameter) and 4 mini sliders
Amazon.com Review Made of a slippery polymer with a cushioned pad on top to grip legs securely, the eight disks in this set make it easy to move furniture and appliances around the house. The disks slip under the legs of beds, sofas, bookcases, pianos, and entertainment centers so they can be slid to different places. The set comprises four large disks (7-inches in diameter) and four small disks (3-1/2 inches in diameter). The large disks are designed for large furniture and the small disks for small-legged pieces plus washers, dryers, refrigerators, and other appliances. --Fred Brack

Women's best friend... June 11, 2006 30 out of 31 found this review helpful
Moving that desk? The sofa? If you can get someone to lift up the legs (assuming you need help) these teflon pads are a miracle. Slide them under the legs of the table or sofa and push across a rug like a sledge in the fine snow. Wheee!!!! And they prevent scratching the floor ...as long as you wipe the floor first to keep grit from under the pads.
I'd say these are a must-have in any home, and I'd recommend them as a housewarming gift. Get two sets and you will make a memorable impression for anyone as a practical, thoughtful person. And get a set for yourself. These are terrific.

If you are contemplating moving furniture yourself for any reason, this is the smartest way to move heavy items. One person can move furniture that was completely impossible to move before using the sliders.
The 4 giant sliders work well for treadmills, tables, heavy bookcases and couches. The smaller sliders work well under lighter items like chairs or small tables. The small sliders will slide out from under heavier items, so you might still want to use the giant ones for moving washers, dryers or refrigerators. The other issue is, you will have to get more sliders if you use these for moving those three items as it will be impossible to retrieve the two you used at the back of say the washer.
You can use these to move loaded bookcases, but the truth is, you might compromise the bookcase, so I'd still advise removing at least half the books before you try this. Also, getting the sliders under the bookshelves is a little more difficult when they are full of books!
Recently I used these while cleaning my carpets and they have an added bonus, because you can leave them under the furniture, move the furniture back over to the carpet you just cleaned and continue on. The plastic base keeps furniture safe even on a freshly cleaned carpet.
Another use is while you are vacuuming or doing a big-time cleaning project. You can use the sliders under a bed and move the bed so you can vacuum more easily. I can think of many other uses, but the two main ones are moving heavy desks and for use when cleaning carpets. I'd highly recommend buying two or three boxes, although I've been able to survive with just one box so far. It would have been nice to have at least two boxes while cleaning the carpets.
So, if you want to save your back from strain and you are tired of feeling achy and sore after moving furniture, give these a try. They will impress! The box is also sturdy enough to store the sliders for an extended period of time.

No more chiropractors. December 1, 2002 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
Even someone over 50 with a bad back can easily rearrange a room full of heavy furniture with these glides. No need to empty the bookcase. Just tip slightly and insert the glides. You can move television and audio equipment while still in the armoire. Dust under the king sized bed. They work on carpeting and bare floors. I love this product.
The Professionals Can't Do Without Them! October 19, 2005 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My partner and I are interior "redesign" specialists, professional organizers, and accredited home staging professionals -- and we can't work without our "Moving Men!" Recently, we were able to move a 500 lb. executive desk, fully loaded, several feet (just the two of us) quickly and easily. Remember though: if you have wood floors it is necessary to add covers to your "Moving Men", or buy two sets and glue felt circles to one set for use on wood; laminate or tile floors. This is the best price we've seen yet!
Moving Men Sliders are Awesome! May 23, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We recently painted our house and had to move a multi-piece buffet that had been joined to form one piece from three. We had to move the piece out of a tight space without the use of the sliders and had a great deal of trouble in moving the piece and trying to keep it togheter. A friend lent me the sliders and my husband was able to move the same piece back by himself without any problem or risk of the piece coming apart. We then used them on fully loaded bedroom furniture. They were great on carpet. I will admit that on higher pile carpet, it might be helpful to have two people available to push and pull - but it is still much easier (not to mention better for the furniture) than trying to do it the old fashioned lift and shove method!
