Imagine coming home to a hearty Sunday-dinner-type meal--but during the week. With West Bend's crockery cooker, you put all your ingredients in the pot before going to work in the morning (or prepare and refrigerate them the night before) and have a home-cooked meal waiting when you return. With a capacity of 6 quarts, this slow cooker makes chili or soup for up to eight people and its oval shape can accommodate a large 3- to 4-pound roast--enough to feed guests or have leftovers for another night. The crockery cooker has a light that illuminates during operation and has two cooking settings, low and high, plus a keep warm option that maintains the serving temperature. An included manual helps you convert regular recipes to the proper cooking time on the slow cooker. The exterior of this crockery slow cooker is brushed stainless steel with stay-cool plastic handles so you can move it safely. The stoneware crock liner is removable and makes an attractive serving dish that you can carry to the table. A very good looking,very functional product. I use mine about once a week for just about anything, mainly because it's foolproof, even I can't mess things up...

I bought this as a gift for my sister. She's a single mother of 2 growing boys with large appetites. I told her of the times we use our crockpot and I have enough left over that I wouldn't have to cook for a few days plus it's conveinent for her to be able to put the food in the pot and slow cook it while she's at work so it can be ready to eat when they get home. She got this for Christmas, along with a recipe book, and has been putting it to work. It was the perfect gift for this full time working mom.

I got this item as a gift for my mom. She really liked it and used it right away. I tasted some stew she made in the crock pot and it was wonderful!

I purchased this slow cooker more than a year ago on Amazon as a replacement for a Rival crockpot (you can find my review).
We use this slow cooker often, more so in the fall and winter than summer. I really like the "keep warm" feature, which fits our busier nights when we can't eat together as a family.
If you read some of the other reviews, this product is rated lower because it doesn't have a timer. Don't let that stop you from buying this slow cooker. After bad experiences with other brands, I hesitated to add my review right after purchase. Now, more than a year after our purchase, I can honestly say this is the best slow cooker I've ever owned.
This is easy to clean, easy to operate and holds enough food to feed a family of four. Thank you, West Bend and Amazon.
I give it four stars with the only negative being that the handles should be a tad longer because of the product's weight.
