Luxurious Living in the Rainy City June 9, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Actually, living in Seattle is not always a drizzly experience. Don't tell anyone, but the summers in Seattle are absolutely amazing. Winter isn't too bad either because the climate is fairly mild. I lived there for many years and one of the things I noticed is the "homes." There are unique and beautiful homes all over Seattle that definitely appeal to the aesthetically aware. I have never lived in any area where there were so many unique and artistic designs.
"Seattle Homes and Lifestyles" celebrates the good life, provides a few tasty recipes and explores gardening ideas. They focus on life, style and home. If you live in Seattle or visit quite often, you will find the Life/calendar section useful to keep up with cultural events and celebrations.
A unique feature in this magazine is the "Serving Seattle" section where you can find events and opportunities for giving.
I adore the recipe section, which is always enticing. There are also full-page ads for various neighborhoods with website information and ideas about taking walking tours.
Yes, there is a lot of upscale advertising and "design dreams." If you love gardening, look for the Home/garden planner section. This way, you can keep up with your gardening and get lots of ideas for each season.
This magazine is a beautiful reminder of the good life. Seattle is one of my favorite places to live and work and this is a reminder of a city I'll always love. To me, Seattle will always be home.
