Editorial Reviews:

Album Description
Seven Lives Many Faces is Enigma's seventh album. This album expands the sound catalogue of previous releases and it is expected to lead to a new Omni-Cultural wave. The lead single "Seven Lives" is a powerful fusion of modern and classical elements. Enigma is an Electronic musical project founded by Michael Cretu, David Fairstein and Frank Peterson in 1990. Cretu is both the composer and the producer; his former wife Sandra often provided vocals on Enigma tracks. Jens Gad co-produced and played guitar on three of the Enigma albums.17 tracks.

5 out of 5 stars Enigma at Their Best!   October 1, 2008

The two best songs are "Seven Lives" and "The Same Parents". The problem in the past with Enigma is that much of their music sounds the same. You will find many similarities but there is also more experimentation to this album. "Seven Lives" has a hip hop flavor to the beat which surprised me but it makes it a powerful number worth listening to.

I love this album and recommend everyone to judge it for themselves. This 2-CD set has some reminiscent material and some new sounding stuff... but it's all Enigma!

5 out of 5 stars they're back!   December 29, 2008
this album is a major step up for micheal but more importantly its a big improvemnt from the previous disc. it really feels like the 90s enigma (i even heard the monks voices on one song, but forget witch one at the moment). heck, whatever micheal is doing now, its reviving my faith in the group. a posteriori was way to techno sounding, everything was the same old beat and instrument. but this, all songs take u to a different adventure. i like the tittle track, la puerta de celio, till my dying day, deja vu, superficial, we are nature, downtown silence. also some parts of between generations. if u wanna relive the glorious 90s enigma days, this is a good place to start.

5 out of 5 stars Cretu Brings Back a Subtle Textured CD   January 2, 2009
Seven Lives Many Faces by Enigma is an excellent CD/album. I have been a long time fan of Enigma even with all of the surrounding controversies, I still very much listen to their music. Seven Lives is one of Cretu's best since Enigma 2. The music is sophisticated, unique, sometimes a floaty escape. I did not care very much of Cretu's last work as it was too disco. With Seven Lives he goes back to his roots of creating subtle textured music with a beat. I didn't see anything that was extremely controversial or dark with this CD although the six pointed star on the cover may spur something but as far as the music is concerned it was done masterfully.

The tunes that I really like was Touchiness an enticing sexy song, The Same Parents a moralizing melody, Fata Morgana an excellent instrumental, and Hells Heaven also. Nice work Cretu and the Enigma crew.

5 out of 5 stars Enigma is BACK!   October 11, 2008

I have been an enigma fan since 1992 - and I await every 4 years a new CD. And I buy all of Michael Cretu solo CDs. I have to say Enigma 5 and 6 were a little disappointing but this new CD is AMAZING!!! All songs are fantastic - but especially Encounters, Seven Lives, and Ja T'aime Till My Dying Day. I do miss the Gregorian Chants - this album maybe different but it is definitley as good as the first three Enigma CD. I wait with bait breathe for four more years for Enigma 8!!!!!
