Product Description TDK 16x 4.7GB DVD-R Discs are write-once recordable DVD discs that offer 4.7GB capacity. Once recorded, DVD-R discs can be played back in most DVD-ROM drives and DVD-Video players. TDK DVD-R discs incorporate a number of key technologies that make them compatible with the widest range of DVD drives and players. DVD-R discs use a specially developed formulation using the company's MSi metal-stabilized cyanine dye recording layer. Proprietary mastering and replication technologies achieve the ultra-narrow groove structure, precision substrate bonding and other exacting parameters that assure excellent performance and reliability. TDK DVD-R discs are rated at an archival lifespan of more than 100 years when stored at room temperature.

TDKs are great! December 28, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Sorry to all who think these are bad, but I have had more success with these (both 16x and 8x) than any other, and I've probably burned 200 with TDK. Memorex are the ones that are bad. Maybe the people who have had bad time with these need a firmware update, or have an old burner (slow burners never seem to work well with high-speed discs). Seriously, TDK are the best!
very dependable - error free November 9, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm using them a lot.Never failed - keeping up to 16x speed.
WORKHORSE DISCS June 9, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
You know? . . . I check out the discs in the stores and there must be two dozen makes, all about the same features, and ALL costing 5 to 10 times as much as these TDK Electronics disks. I use these for my own movies of family, sports, and travel. This is the third 100 lot size I have purchased, and NOT ONE FAILURE! So, why would I buy at the higher prices? Why would you?
Best Buy February 24, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Although they are manufactured by CMC, which has a poor reputation with some folks, these are the finest 16x blank DVDs I have found for the price at Amazon. I paid $39.99 for 100 with free shipping, and have burned almost 100 with zero defects. The light gray top surface leaves as much room as possible for writing on with a marker, too (Imation DVDs, also made by CMC, are terrible in this respect, and no other brand I have tried is as good). To see who manufactured your blank DVDs, try DVD Identifier freeware from http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/
Works and its cheap. November 9, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
