junk September 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had the exact same problem as the other 2 users. It went through batteries so so fast, and 6 volt batteries are over $5 each in Alaska. The "shock" didnt really get his attention if he was doing somthing bad, and the beeps dont do anything. My advice is just spend the extra dollars and get a quality collar
You get what you pay for? August 28, 2008 I purchased this product for ease of use for a 22 lb puggle for training aide. This product worked for about 2 1/2 days. The light still comes on the remote, and even with battery replacement doesn't seem to get his attention. The sounds and "jolts" only seem to happen "sometimes" and Yes, the collar is as tight as possible. I don't want a collar to really hurt him, just get his attention and thought this one would do the trick, guess not.
Disappointed...even more.
Glad to have my money back... September 9, 2008 We were so happy the first 2-3days, our coon hound was responsive to the lowest level and we had a couple good nights of sleep....until.... it started abnormally going through batteries (at $4 a pop- about 1 battery every 3 days), and after about 2wks of use it stopped "shocking"- now it will only do the beep which the response time from remote to the collar sucks. Now we can't even use it and even if it did work we wouldn't be able to use it because we can't afford to replace the batteries every couple days. (We did NOT use the collar enough to go through that many batteries) I would NOT recommend this product, it's very cheep and will not last long enough to properly train a dog. I am glad we got our money back.... (btw, we got ours from a different dealer, but its the SAME product)
shock collar for dog October 14, 2008 I'm still having a problem getting a collar that works . Each one I get has something wrong with it. The brand may be OK but I haven't had the opportunity to try it.
