I bought this to transport my dog in my brand new car. It was more complicated to install than I anticipated but worth the effort. My dog has been on many car rides without incident, but had an "accident" on her very first trip in my new car. Thank goodness for the waterproofing. My car seat was not damaged at all. The hammock totally covers the rear seat and the back of the front seats and is very attractive. I wish it covered the front and rear seat headrests as I have seen with similar products.
The instructions suggest wiping with damp cloth to clean. After the "accident" I wasn't satisfied that it would really be clean so I threw it over the fence in my backyard, washed it with a little doggy shampoo,rinsed with the garden hose and let it dry in the sun on the fence. Perfect!
The cover folds easily to be returned to the really cool carry case and my girl loves drinking from the water bottle.
