Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Too small for throwing knives? Too light for weapons.   August 22, 2008

Idk, I've been able to throw these and get them to stick into a phone book @ about 3 ft, so that can be kind of a fun game, but anything over 3 feet and I can't get them to stick by throwing them from the blade. The 4 3/4" length is the length of the entire knife+hilt so, they may work better if thrown using the "no-spin" method of throwing ninja spikes because the center of gravity seems to be @ the dividing line between the blade and the hilt; however, I haven't tried that method yet. Anyway, they arrived fairly sharp and the tips only seem to dull when they hit something harder than a phone book. Also, the velcro straps on the "leg/arm pouch" should be a bit longer. Due to the weight, these "knives" are more like toys than real weapons because the steel isn't very thick and I doubt that they would fly very well, even if thrown "no-spin," if there is any kind of wind.
