Product Description It's a "chip off the ole Blokus," but with a super-challenging twist! A new dimension of triangular-created Trigon pieces must be fit, tip to tip with your own pieces, on the hexagonal game board. Angles jut in every direction, so new strategies are always evolving. It's the Bermuda Triangles (486 in all) of strategy games. Think carefully! You can block-and be blocked-at any moment! Quick to learn, challenging to master. Includes recessed game board, 88 Trigon pieces in four bright translucent colors, and guide. For 2-4 players. Grades K and up.

Simple, maddening, and great fun December 27, 2006 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
My friends and I have played this with two players (each taking two colors) and three (omitting one color and excluding the outer ring of triangles from the board, as instructed). In each case the game works beautifully. We much prefer it to standard Blokus. The game is very subtle, and it's a tough challenge to place all your pieces on the board. This is always one of our top choices on game nights!
Outstanding Game for All Ages February 2, 2007 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Having played Blokus with a friend (college professor) and her children (5 & 7-yo girls) after xmas, I decided to buy the game for my home. I discovered this more challenging version and decided to try it instead. What was fascinating when I first played against two adults and 3 kids (a 7-yo played for herself and the 2 5-yos were supposed to be assisted by adults), the kids were better at the game than all the adults! It's quick, fun, challenging and quite addictive!!! LOVE THIS GAME!!!
Great game for all January 15, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is a sequel to the game Blokus. I liked Blokus before buying this product, but now I love Blokus Trigon. Very interesting twist to a great game. Because every unit is a triangle, you are given 2 options instead of 1 option off of each corner. It is a little hard to play immediately, but after a game or two, you will be loving this game.
Great game for adults and kids 7 and up July 14, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a terrific game that does present a challenge and requires stategy. It never repeats itself and is fun and very engaging. We first played the game with our daughter's family and they chose the square board with the pieces formed by joined squares. I chose the hexagon shaped board and pieces made up of triangles. I do think this is the more difficult of the two. Our grandson age 7 could play the square board well. It does require you to keep count of all the pieces each time you put it away. There are no extras.
Blokus Trigon - good mixed age game for 4 players January 1, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
For Christmas, I bought this game for our 3-year-old niece (who just turned 4 on New Year's Eve). The first time that we (3 adults) played this game with her, we were very lenient with the rules (only for her) and we all had a great time! I can see that after a few times of playing this game, that she'll be able to play with the official rules and will do very well! She had a terrific time and wanted to play it again immediately!!
The competitive/territorial aspect of the game most likely will appeal all children! But in addition, the playing tiles are pretty (almost like the plastic jewels made for little girls' jewelry) and as the game ensues, one can see an abstract mosaic taking form on the board (which appeals to all children with artistic tendencies, especially girls who like to make arts and crafts projects where the final product is pretty)!
The game helps to develop an awareness of abstract shapes, counting, strategy/logical thinking/planning ahead and a healthy sense of competition & fair play, too. For chilren under 6 I would suggest that an adult help to supervise, or join in the game to keep it moving smoothly forward.
