Perfect for Cinderalla fans June 25, 2008 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
This is an excellent all-around well made board game. I bought it for my daughter (4.5 years) when she had her tonsils out this spring. Even my 7 yo son enjoys playing it. I like to play it with my daughter as it is interesting and fun and doesn't take too long to complete. We all like to press the slipper to see it will become enchanted or if we will get "gonged" I highly recommend this game and give it as a gift without reservation.
Nice step up from Candyland June 14, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughter (3yrs old) who has enjoyed simpler board games such as Candyland. This is her first dice-driven game where she has to count the spaces and meet objectives. She loves Cinderella, and there are enough opportunities to reverse your fortune in this game that it keeps the adults entertained as well. This game has broadened her game playing abilities and given her a new avenue for social interaction. It's been a big hit, being played several times every day since we got it.
Fast and simple game for younger toddler/preschool ages September 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have a daughter that is nearly 3 years old and she loves this game. It plays quickly and the rules are very simple. She can count to six and she loves actually being able to do everything herself. Basically, you roll a die and move your princess that number of spaces. If you land on a card space, you then get that card. You try to collect all five cards. When your princess lands on the fairygodmother spaces, you get to push the glass slipper. If the bell tolls, you don't get to turn a card over. But, if it "enchants", you turn one of your cards over (the ragged clothes are then a beautiful gown, the mice are magically transformed into horses, the pumkin card becomes a carriage.. you get the idea). If you are the first to have all your cards enchanted, you win. This is easy enough for ages 2.5 and up. It's only mildly entertaining to my almost 7 year old. She wants to play once in awhile, but since it doesn't create a challenge for her at all, she easily gets distracted and bored with it. I'd say ages 2.5-6years is probably more accurate than the 4+ age on the box.
Overall, I think it's great. It's VERY hard to find games for the under 5 years category that aren't too simple or too complicated. This one is just right :)
Easy enough for two 4 year olds to play without Mom October 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter loves this game. She is able to play it with her friends without my help, which I love. The rules are simple enough for my four year old to remember without me having to review prior to playing the game. Even setting up the board is easy enough for her to do it on her own. Cute idea for a little girl.
Cute game - simple, fast, & fun! November 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my daughter for her 6th birthday. She loves it! And it's a game parents won't mind playing as well. It's a simple game and doesn't take forever. I think this will be a favorite of ours for some time.
