Sharp 15 inch LCD TV November 30, 2007 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I'm very happy with this TV. I needed a small TV and the Sharp was the only TV that fit the bill. I also like the fact that this TV have audio / video inputs in componet, composit, and s-video formats.
A decent TV, but bad sound April 22, 2007 34 out of 35 found this review helpful
I bought this TV from Costco, not Amazon. I was looking for a small, energy-efficient TV to use in my office for times that I work in there. As such, picture quality wasn't that important to me, but this TV does look good and I am satisfied with it. I am not an audiophile/videophile, so I am easy to please. It's not an HDTV, but I didn't need that.
However, it's clearly a very bottom-of-the-line TV in features. There are few features and options available on the menu. The $99 CRT TV it's replacing had far more features. There are only 3 video options for color tone (warm/cool/normal) backlight (bright/normal/dark) and a brightness slider.
The first thing I noticed plugging this TV in was how tinny and weak the sound was. There was no discernable bass, and the sound quality from the TV speaker was very poor. I get better sound out of the cheapo radio I use at work. I was considering returning it, as I listen to it more than I watch it, but I hooked up some PC speakers to the headphone jack, plugged in the subwoofer of that speaker set, and now it sounds great. Unless you're willing to do this, though I would not recommend this TV.
Please clarify: Does this have ATSC?? January 22, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The NTSC warning implies it only has a NTSC (analog) tuner. The specs say it has both NTSC and ATSC (digital) tuners builtin. None of the reviews comment on how the builtin ATSC tuner performs... somebody w/one of these plz advise, thank you!
Just okay September 18, 2008 The tv is the perfect size for my need. The sound is tinny and the picture is ok - not great. It was very easy to set up and program with just a cable cord.
