Madden 09 finally gets its AI right!!!! August 25, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Thanks to Madden IQ, I'm actually getting challenged by the AI. Games have been close and exciting for the most part. It's engine is definitely improved and the graphics are wow. The only thing missing is a "be quiet Collinsworth" switch. Backtrack is cool but his in game comments are repetitive beyond belief. If I hear about his special feelings for Tony Romo one more time...
FINALLY! August 12, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I want to start this review by saying that I USE to be that guy that would buy Madden every year regardless of quality. That all stopped after I got a 360. Every year people say it's gonna be great, every year, they were wrong. I'm here to tell you, this year, you need to get Madden. The game play is waht it was last gen, only more refined with spectacular animation. The running game is tight and feels good. The blocking is good from the O-line, and the A.I. overall is good. The Madden IQ and the AI adjustments are great. Basically, the better you perform, the higher your Madden IQ gets, and vice-versa. Also, the better you perform in say, rushing, the better the defensive rush AI becomes. This is the first time in a long time I'm excited about this series. If you were a Madden fan last gen, and have been scared off by the early games for the 360, fear not, Madden is back, and it's better than ever.
Looks like a real football telecast. August 17, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
The kids have been playing this thing non-stop. The game looks great on a flat panel - makes me feel like we are watching a football game on TV....
Stunning graphics, excellent game play.
Of course, due to the ever changing players this is a bit dated....since Bret Favre is on the Jets and Michael Vic behind bars.... But thats no reason to rate it any lower.
Amazon shipped it to deliver on release day (prime rocks) and had an offer for a $10 giftcard ... which I am sure will arrive soon so I can buy more stuff. HAHA!
Enjoy Madden 09.

Better every year September 30, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
As anyone familiar w/ the Madden games knows, it's the premier product in gaming for football and this year's improvement is significant. The graphics are fantastic, Chris Collinsworth's commentary ads a nice new voice to the background.
I can't tell that the IQ thing really makes much difference at this point...but perhaps I don't completely understand what it's supposed to do.
Highly recommended...my 9 year old son absolutely loves this game and plays it much more than I do...and kicks my butt every time we play.
