Superb and very easy to use July 28, 2006 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
The reviews you find at other websites by professional chefs sold me--all raves. They were right. Don't spend more, this is really easy to use and my knives are razor sharp. A 10 second touch up every couple of days will keep a knife in great shape.
Sharp product works January 11, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Seen recommended in Cook's Magazine. It actually does what it claims to do. The position of the handle is awkward to get used to at first, but it makes sense. Follow instructions and don't use force and it will sharpen kitchen knives that are unsafe when dull. Terrific buy!
Surprised July 11, 2007 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I'm surprised that this hasn't made more news. I just sharpened a dull 15" survival knife with it in a matter of seconds. It's straightforward, too. Just place groove of sharpener on the knife and hold the knife still. Run the sharpener down the blade with gentle pressure and you'll have a sharp knife in no time.
Best and Easiest Knife Sharpener October 24, 2006 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Over the years, I have purchase and used many knife sharpeners. I haven't had good luck with them - "hold the blade at an even 22.5 angle"; or "apply 3.14 psi of pressure"; and other difficult to perform instructions. Even after following the instructions, my knives were not as sharp as I would have liked them to be. This sharpener, however, says to run it lightly over the blade several times. I did. It worked. I read about this in Cook's Illustrated magazine - and purchased one immediately. It is without a doubt the best and easiest knife sharpener I've ever owned. My knives are amazingly sharp - and a sharp knife is a safe knife. Friends and family will get one of these in their stockings this Christmas!
Accusharp- a kitchen necessity! February 6, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I am a Chef, and have always scoffed at these types of sharpeners, but this one really works. Follow the instructions, use a soft touch, and keep the knives and sharpener clean, and you will be very happy the the results.
