Excellent toy December 30, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Outstanding learning toy...I can see how this will be fun for my son for a long time. He is 11 mos. and is using it to improve cruising skills. Even with a short attention span, he is quick to return to the table shortly after he leaves it to play with something else. He is utterly fascinated by it. It is fun for parents and kids, as the music and verbal material is very pleasant to listen to. The added bonus is that it teaches Spanish, which helps his bilingual training. It is has a very nice "ABC" song in Spanish, with a pleasant sounding female voice for the Spanish mode. It will also sing in soprano "blueeee" or "azuuuuul" (spanish for blue), when the kid presses the blue key on the piano. This is all when it is verbal teaching mode. When u put it in musical mode, it just rocks out, playing all kinds of instrumentals. As an amateur musician, I really got a kick out how sophisticated this equipment is. For example, there are a circle, square, and triangular buttons which sound like very intricate conga drum solos when u press them in music mode, and in verbal mode, it will say "yellow...circle" and obviously the same in Spanish mode. Very nice piece of equipment that will surely have your child entertained and learning. I look forward to seeing him evolve with this and become a little Herbie Hancock, as he learns to manipulate the different sounds instead of pressing things randomly, kinda like a little DJ! Buy this one. Well worth it.
Great toy November 15, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My son starting playing with this toy at 6 months old (with the legs off), he is now 16 months and still loves it more than any other toy. He loves the music and often dances along. He enjoys all of the various knobs and levers and can play with it for 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend this toy to anyone.
A big hit! November 17, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My 10-month-old son loves his musical table. Not only does it help him as he learns to stand, he's really interested in the variety of musical buttons and other "gadgets" on the table. We recently had a group of about 10 babies the same age over to play, and the Learn & Groove was the big hit -- they were all fascinated and entertained by this much longer than they were with other toys.
Good for 6-12 October 21, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My son is 11 months and is not as interested anymore but it was his favorite for about 3-4 months. It works good for balance, just be careful early on- can tip over when child is getting up.
definitely a must have December 13, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I saw this on a magazine's "hot list" or something and ordered it, then I notice everybody with a child has one and now I see why! My son loves this. He can stand up on his own with it, first when I used to have to help him stand up and now when he can pull himself up by himself. It has a LOT of activities on it and best of all two volume levels. He will stand up with this for a good 20 minutes at a time. It is absolutely perfect. And if your baby has just learned to sit up on his own and you are uncomfortable having him stand, you can easily snap the legs off and let him play with the table top right on the floor. It is by far a must have and it will last a long time.
